Moshik Kop: Building the Beat and Improvising in many styles
26 February 2007

Moshik will be conducting the second half of the first Nu? Musik! workshop. He will be building beats using loops and his deep knowledge of rhythms and he will be getting you to join him. Then everyone will get a chance to try out a bit of improvising using Jewish themes over the loops. This promises to be a lot of fun, and at the same time will introduce you to some cool Jewish sounds.

Moshik is an experienced musician, composer, producer and mixer. He has produced live recordings for Lotte Mullan as well as remixes for Beyonce and Oi Va Voi, Shlomi Shaban, Idan Raichel Project and many more. He has engineered concerts for London Asotria, Sophie Solomon and Yasmin Levy. As an artist himself he has composed and produced his own Albums, Aurora in 2006 with Maya Records and his debut Album "Way Above Below" in 2005 with Forte Records. He has also composed music with Oi Va Voi including a remix with Beyonce and was a co-composer for a new take on an old silent Yiddish movie, East and West, performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
